Down to the lobby for breakfast at the Best Western Twin Falls. Dan took the three kids while Laura went to the hotel gym to work out, then came back to join us later.

Elodie does a pretty good job of describing her breakfast

and we're off. Just outside of Twin Falls, we cross the I. B. Perrine Bridge over the Snake River. There's a scenic overlook and we stopped to look and take a few pictures

You know that you're in potato country.

We saw a sign for the Potato Museum and we also saw a billboard marked buyhashbrowns.com.

Day 2 - mile 933
3:50pm
Arrive at A River Runs By It Lodge, our home for the next two nights. The lodge is a large guest house on 15 acres right on the water. Laura "found" a bat in the shed where the life jackets are kept. It actually landed on her. It freaked the kids out so much that they wouldn't go back in the shed. I went in and got the life jackets for our ride in a paddle boat. Didn't see a bat. I think the bat must have got freaked out too.

6:40pm
Went to West Yellowstone, MT for dinner. We tried to eat at the Wolf Pack Brewing Co. & Pub, but we got thrown out -- no kids under 12. So, instead, we opted for Pete's Pizza. It was good and the place was popular, but we managed to get right in.

9:00pm
Back at the lodge, we got the kids to bed and managed to carve out a little time for ourselves. We have two rooms... a kid's room and an adult room and I've got to admit, it's pretty nice. Laura and I sent the kids to bed and we've been enjoying peace and quiet ever since.

I think we're going to have to spend more time looking for "multi-room" options for our family travel from now on. The extra quiet time is just too nice.
